Password Protection

I was just curious if blogger has a password protection feature. I would like this feature to use with a class of students to make the posts more private. I think I found out how to do it at the following link.http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/blogger/thread?tid=6d8d078ad0604620&hl=en Any input is greatly appreciated.

Aspect Ratio

Ok...so I uploaded my first video from You-tube and the file was huge with an aspect ratio of 854 X 480. I had to do a little research to find out how to re size the video to a smaller size. I found out the the post column area is about 400, therefore the video's width being 854 extended into the sidebars of my blog template. I was able to edit my post and change my aspect ratio in the original copied script to 395 x 325. This seemed to work well! Help menus and blogger how to blogs, work wonders!

New Choices

Had fun tonight changing the format of my "old" blog. Relatively fast and easy I was able to change the look of my previous blog. There are so many more choices with format, templates, backgrounds, color schemes then when I used it last, which I believe was in 2007. It was very fast to add photos to my blog via gagets (easy to add many different icons..such as followers, RSS feeds, and links to sites. Within two years it's amazing how the format changes and to my benefit it seems easier to use. The benefits of technology!

Switching Topics

My blog was originally designed for an Authoring Tools course at New Jersey City University. I have not used my blog in a few years. I was never one to enjoy the writing process..but with a blogging I discovered that writing was actually fun. I was thankful to find my blog on the Internet, and retrieve my password. This year I am taking Introduction to Educational Technology and one of the requirements is to create a blog. Since, I already have this one...I would like to update my format, photos, and posts. Updates are coming shortly!

Final Reflection

I was very upset to have missed our last class. I feel a lack of closure, and I like closure. The blog will help me with this issue. What have a learned from this class?? Where should I start? The first thing that I learned is that....I was getting bored with what I was doing in the classroom. I notice that my students are getting bored as well. By learning these new technologies, I have found a new sense of excitement in my teaching. I am hoping to share this with my students.

I have learned how to blog, what the difference is between a MOV, WMV and more, I have been introduced to what a Maven is, learned about smart note book, flickr, movie maker, digital camera use connection, visual communicator...I learned about different types of computer or technology terms.

I fell that I have gained so much knowledge from this class. The way the class was set up for us to explore and be the leaner was very engaging for me. I liked the freedom to explore....and not really be told what to do in my exploration. I would be eager to sign up for this class again if I could take it.

Draw backs and disappointments...not from the class. But on how technology and politics within the schools are fused or not. Feeling that I might not be able to try new things with tech and my students due to the restrictions and funding through Internet or equipment. Feeling that my excitement can not be used with my students. I can tell them about it, but they might not be able to use the full applications. Not the classes fault....just the dynamics of the technology.
world.

Overall, Dr. Mullane, a great "hands on class".
